1. Passport valid for a minimum of 180 days with at least two blank pages.

2. Two recent 50 mm * 50 mm size photographs on a white background,It should have full face, front view, eyes open.
    - There should not be any distracting shadows on the face or on the background.
    - Head coverings are not permitted except for religious reasons, but the facial features from bottom of chin to top of forehead and both edges of the face must be clearly         shown.
  
3. ​One original letter signed from the company in the UK and one letter of invitation from an Indian company.  
    - Both letters need to be:-
             - Addressed to the High Commission of India or Consulate General of India, Birmingham, or Consulate General of India, Edinburgh
             - Letters need to be on the company’s headed paper
             - Letters need to be signed by authorised signatory of the company, proxy signature are not  acceptable
            - State purpose of visit, applicants name, passport number, start and expiry date of the passport
            - Duration of stay in India (per trip -if applicable).  

4. Certain professions may require additional documentation.​

Important Note: Applicants are requested to submit/send the photocopies of the supporting documents (not the originals) unless originals are requested.

​For person whose previous nationality was Indian before acquiring foreign nationality, you will need to provide:-​- Copy of Surrender Certificate and copy of the cancelled Indian passport (Self-Attested) OR  lf travelled to India before, please provide your previous passport with Indian Visa.​​​  

Documents required for urgent business Visa ​ In addition to the above documents, the below listed documents are required.​- Letter from the parent sponsoring organisation in UK on company's letter head indicating the nature  of the applicant's business, reasons for Urgent Business Visa, probable duration of stay, validity of  visa applied for, places and organisation to be visited and a guarantee to meet maintenance                   expenses.
